For the Dutch Digischool we built virtual English and French language villages. In these villages, students can visit a number of 'English' or 'French' shops and have conversations with other students and shopkeepers to learn how to talk in this language. Behind these in-world shopkeepers are real people, teachers working at schools or native speakers somewhere at home. They can be located anywhere in the world, they only need to log in and use their headsets to talk. How does that work? The video explains it all...
