“Ashes of Tomorrow”
“Ashes of Tomorrow”
(A Gothic ballad of despair and lost light)
In the hollow of the night, I hear no sound,
Only shadows whisper, cold and unbound.
The stars have fallen from the bleeding sky,
No reason left to dream, no strength to cry.
Ashes of tomorrow, scattered in the rain,
Buried in the silence, drowning in the pain.
No light to follow, no soul to save,
I walk alone through a world I cannot brave.
The mirrors crack, my face erased,
A ghost remains where love once traced.
Time decays the heart it cannot mend,
And hope, a lie we tell before the end.
Torn pages burn in the winds of regret,
Every promise fades, every sun must set.
If death is mercy, let it come slow—
For what is life, when there’s nothing left to know?
Ashes of tomorrow, scattered in the rain,
Buried in the silence, drowning in the pain.
No light to follow, no soul to save,
I walk alone through a world I cannot brave.
No prayers, no gods, just endless grey—
And me, a shadow fading away.
